This movie was one of Christian Slaters early movies.  This movie includes skateboarding which was extremely popular at the time of the movie with a murder mystery.  Christian Slater is trying to find who killed his brother so he can put them in prison.  To do so he needs a little strategy and some help from his other skateboarding friends.  The craziest thing about this movie is that you would swear that California is really somewhere in the fareast for most of the movie.  I couldnt always tell if Slater was even in America. I really did not enjoy watching this movie.  I can understand why so many critics may like this movie.  I understand that this movie is very good historically but if that is the case you dont need Hollywood actors you can just make a documentary, or a reenactment.  I just was sick of the fighting after about fifteen minutes.  I noticed that it got to the point where I was hardly watching it because I was just waiting for all of the noise and death to end and to get into a normal story.  It may be a highly regarded war movie but it is no Full Metal Jacket or Platoon.  Overall Rating: 6.5

I thought that this movie was a little better than I thought that it was going to be.  The thing that I did like about it was how they incorporated Geoffrey Chaucer as a character but in a modern sort of role.  I thought that it had some comical parts along with some quite obvious non-historical tendencies.  This is where the fiction really comes in and is a somewhat original idea.  It is almost like a modern day movie with old lifestyles.  Sort of like the modern Romeo and Juliet. Overall Rating: 6.0

I thought that this movie was pretty stupid.  I mean I was expecting some sort of real danger on this planet, but most of the danger they face is just getting off of the planet.  This movie might as well be about a group of guys who get caught in the desert with no way to get out.  I dont understand why Mars was so easy to live on that none of these men died because of the conditions on the planet. Overall Rating: 4.0 

I liked this movie.  Michael Douglass works well with Kathleen Turner.  The only thing that I didnt completely understand was the situation with the sister.  I guess the whole time I sort of thought that there was a little bit more to the story then there actually was.  Kathleen Turner plays a good character because she doesnt play too much of a helpless woman, that would have completely ruined the movie. Overall Rating: 6.4

I thought that this movie was an interesting idea and could entertain many people outside of the hood but it did not make you think that Denzel Washington was that wrong. He used his powers to be a thug but he was also using his power to rid the streets of drug dealers. The movie doesn't always do a good job of letting you follow exactly what is taking place. I think some of the language used by the cops is language that many people are not familiar with. But I do think that the movie is entertaining. Overall Rating: 6.6

I was a little more impressed with this movie than I thought that I would be.  I know that it is creative to use these people that are computer generated but at the same time if this movie had the actors that it has as voices it might have made a little bit more money.  But at the same time the voices would not have fit the bodies needed for some of the parts, aka Steve Buscemi.  I didnt really understand everything that was going on in this movie.  I may have understood it a little more if I was more familiar with the video game. Overall Rating: 5.0

This was a pretty good idea for an action movie.  Blade is the perfect combination of human and vampire.  The strange thing about this movie is that Blade is actually the superhero fighting on the good side.  Usually the men who are almost invincible almost always fight for the bad side.  This movie has good controllable action and a normal real lifelike villain.  Although the plot is sort of dull and Blades motive would seem to run thin after many years. Overall Rating: 7.7

I thought that this movie was sort of a creative idea and the movie fits its purpose well.  The action scenes are very entertaining and the demeanor of the villains is probably even more entertaining.  I think that my only real complaint with this movie is that one scene when the two sides are shooting at each other from relatively close range with at least a hundred shots each without anyone getting killed.  I guess that this fits the movie well but is just too unbelievable. Overall Rating: 7.3

I really enjoyed this movie much more than I thought that it was going to be.  It just proves to me a little more how good of an actor that Russell Crowe actually is.  This movie has a good blend of action and drama.  The idea was also pretty good in that the strategy behind a ransom case is very interesting and it is good to see how it affects a normal family.  The love scenes between Crowe and Ryan are good because they never really cross the line of respectability between the man and his wife. Overall Rating: 7.5

I thought this movie was a little bit better than I thought that it was going to be.  I thought that it was a new role for Owen Wilson and I thought that he did a good job with it.  I thought that it was a unique idea to show what has happened in Bosnia in a movie.  I thought it was also good to show an outside person stuck in a land that Americans think of as complete chaos.  The movie does a good job of showing how the people in these lands are so separated. Overall Rating: 6.3

I thought that this movie was pretty good and has a very good ending but I would have liked to see a couple of changes. I would have liked to have seen a little bit more about what was going on in the present and a little less about the past. I thought that a couple of the scenes about the past were a little bit lengthy. I thought that the movie was interesting in that it was a realistic situation and not just your normal suspense movie with people against the government. All in all a pretty good movie. Overall Rating: 8.8

I really liked this movie. I did do a pretty good job of guessing what was going to happen but I really didn't know how and I thought it was interesting to watch. I really like the deceptive beginning and I really thought it was good how the movie was not a comedy but had some parts that could really make you laugh. I think some comparable movies would be Snatch or Pulp Fiction. If you like those two movies than you would probably like this one. I think that Bruce Willis sort of takes the supporting actor role to Billy Bob Thornton. Overall Rating: 8.6

I thought that this movie had too many twists too it. It could have been a very good movie except that I think the last twist just was a little too much. In an entire movie where you have no idea who had allied with who the final conclusion is not a great surprise. I think that the writer was trying to confuse you so much that he actually has you sitting their wondering, what kind of plan is this? Besides that the movie has some pretty good theft scenes. Overall Rating: 5.6
