National Lampoon's Vacation

vacation.jpg

The original of the National Lampoon's vacation comedies. This takes the Griswolds on a trip to Wally World by way of a cross country trip. This movie is funny and easy to watch. They meet up with a few funny relatives on the way. This adventure concludes with a wild adventure of Wally World.
This movie started a trend of Chevy Chase Vacation to come.

Groundhog Day

This comedy starring Bill Murray is about a man who has the same day over and over. He uses this as an advantage with trying to find out what a girl likes and killing himself to see what it feels like. This comedy is creative and has some funny parts. I found this comedy enjoyable to watch but not laugh out loud hysterical. Bill Murray uses a lot of sarcastic humor.

Private Parts

The movie based on the book by Howard Stern. This movie is about the life of the world's most famous radio personality, Howard Stern. Stern has been criticized and praised by many and this is the story of his rise and what went on backstage. There are a few funny parts and it shows the real Howard Stern and where he really stands.

So I Married and Axe Murderer

Mike Myers in his followup movie to Wayne's World. He is not very funny in this movie and the whole plot is somewhat idiotic. At the same time it is sort of a humorous idea and you never really know if she is an axe murderer. Mike Myers really makes you think she is a murderer and it sets up for a
comical wedding night scene.

Teen Wolf Too

First of all whenever people make sequels to a movie they should never use a different actor.  It defeats the movie before it has even began.  Would you make the Godfather II without Pacino.  This is almost always a failure and this is no exception.  Teen Wolf Too is almost the same movie over again.  The first movie had too much of an ending to try to make a sequel.  I mean Michael J. Fox wins the game as himself, there is no need for another wolf.

Teen Wolf

A Michael J. Fox film about a boy in high school who turns into a wolf on occasion. It is a family trait that makes him popular in school. The classic story about a boy who eventually wants to be loved for him and not the wolf. This movie is fun and is all about partying. This is another one of those movies that many people have seen numerous times.

Private Benjamin

What can I say, this was not a good movie.  This is a movie about a rich girl who joins the army and finds the tragedy of love over and over.  I just thought that their was nothing really funny about this movie and that for the most part it was extremely dull.  I am sure that if anyone liked this movie it was a girl because this movie is aimed a little more at the turmoils of a woman.

Austin Powers

A very funny movie starring Saturday Night Live's Mike Myers. He plays a comical british intelligence agent that teams up with Elizabeth Hurley to stop Dr. Evil who is also Mike Myers. This movie is comical and full of sexual inuendo. This comedy is not a funny to anyone below teens. Probably
focused more on the teen population. Mike Myer's second group of major films after the Wayne's World movies.

Caddyshack

This is the original comedy for many big perfomances to come. Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield all got famous from doing this movie. This movie is very funny especially Bill Murray's trials with the gopher on the golf course. The sort of comedy in this movie is focused more for adult
entertainment then for teems or kids. It is not a dirty movie, at least extremely, the jokes would just be funnier to adults.

Black Sheep

This is the second movie with the duo of Chris Farley and David Spade. Farley plays a moronic brother of a candidate for Governor and Spade works for the governor. They are pretty much in the same roles as Tommy Boy but with some new spiced up comedy. This movie is hysterical, especially the scenes at the house in the woods. It's a shame a comedian like Farley had to die, there could have been so much more to come.

A League of their Own

leagueoftheirown.jpg

This is a very funny and enjoyable movie about a girls baseball league in the 1940's. Jon Lovitz plays a hysterical scout and Tom Hanks plays a drunk coach. Both of these are very funny and the story of two sisters who have good and bad times playing professional baseball. This movie is heartwarming and historical, something that not many know about. Geena Davis plays a wonderful role in a wonderful movie.

Meet the Parents

This was definitely the funniest movie of the year. Ben Stiller has made himself a superstar with his second blockbuster comedy hit. The story is believable and any couple could relate to such problems. The dinner scene was and the credits at at the end were the highlight scenes. This movie may not be quite as funny as something about mary, but it is darn close.

Ghostbusters 2

This was not as good as the original. It was not nearly as funny and the bad guy was a lot more terrifying. With two harsh of a villain in the lighthearted story is not as lighthearted. There are still a couple of funny parts but with Rick Moranis as part of the bad guy in part one it made it a little funnier. Overally it is still enjoyable.

Wayne's World

waynesworld.jpg

The Saturday Night Live comedy that made it onto the big screen. Mike Myers and Dana Carvey star as Wayne and Garth and the story of their basement TV show. This movie is funny to people who watched the Saturday Night Live skit but probably not as funny to those that went familiar with it. It
also is geared more towards kids and teens.

Bring It On

This movie was totally stupid. The only good audience for this movie would be people that like cheerleading. Some people may watch the movie because of the girls which I think the producers were going for. The story is pretty stupid and many things didn't even go together. There are a couple of parts that are funny but they are lost in this poor attempt of a movie.

Made in America

This is a story about a girl who is born from artificial insemination. She finds that her father is white and he is the total opposite from her mother. When the daughter finds the father and brings him into her life things get complicated. This movie isn't anything special but it shows how a man can find what he really wants in life.

Once Bitten

Your Reviewget this gear!

oncebitten.jpg

A sort of Teen Wolf type comedy without the cool.  At least in Teen Wolf the wolf was cool and everybody wanted to be like him.  In this movie a couple of kids from high school are trying to get laid and get mixed up with some vampires.  This vampire happens to be looking for virgins to feed on.  Nothing spectacular about this movie.  This is a couple of scenes where Carrey can sort of let his comedy go like the scene in the clothing store, but for the most part he is kept in check.

Clue

This movie based on a board game is just a crazy as the game. Who killed who with what and where? This movie never lets you know as it plays out in this comical mystery. Then, the best part of this movie is that it gives you three endings. Just like in the game it could be any one of the people doing the killing. If one person was the murderer it would not be like the game.

Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me

Video Clip

I think this is funnier than the original. Mike Myers adds another role when he plays Fat Bastard. The co worker of Myers is this film is Heather Graham who most people know as roller girl from Boogie Nights. Another character added for the sequel was Mini Me who is a midget created to look just like Dr. Evil. These two new characters are extremely funny additions to the Austin Powers story.

Tommy Boy

What can I say, they don't get much funnier than this. Chris Farley gives his top performance andhis teaming up with David Spade, who is a perfect contradiction to Farley, set up for great laughs. There are so many funny parts I can't even begin to tell you. Farley and Spade are just too more Saturday Night Live actors that make it into the big screen.
